Agri meets Design is the platform where farmers and designers meet and collaborate on societal issues. We believe design is needed to secure the future of food and change the system from within. Our present time calls for a new approach to major food challenges. How do we feed the world in a sustainable way? By organizing meetings between farmers and designers, and initiating and supporting concrete collaborations and projects, Agri meets Design shows how design can provide smart and innovative solutions for complex design tasks in the agri-food sector. We thrive when the worlds of design & agricultuur collide!
Agri meets Design is always scouring the Netherlands for pressing questions from the agricultural industry, from large or small players, from the farm or policy departments. We will then attempt to and a good match between the questioners and the designers. The outcome of a collaboration is never set at the start and that delivers unpredictable and interesting outcomes to the most persistent social issues. That is the exceptional working method of Agri meets Design.
An important part of Agri meets Design is our participation at Dutch Design Week (DDW) in Eindhoven. For the past seven years, DDW has developed a comprehensive Agri meets Design program with a showcase of innovative projects and design sessions fresh from the field. Since 2017, Agri meets Design has bene represented at this largest design event in northern Europe at The Embassy of Food.
